GLUTEN-FREE CHEF OF THE YEAR

Celebrity chef Phil Vickery, Coeliac UK the national charity for people with coeliac disease and DH, the Institute of Hospitality and the Craft Guild of Chefs are looking for original and inventive chefs and catering students who have a passion for cooking and want to turn their hand to catering gluten-free.
Gluten-free Chef of the Year - Sponsored by Sodexo. For professional chefs over the age of 23. Prizes include a placement at an award winning restaurant, the opportunity to develop a signature dish with Sodexo, and much more!
Up and Coming Gluten-free Chef of the Year - sponsored by 3663. For catering college students and trainee chefs under the age of 23. Prizes include a placement at an award winning restaurant, and much more!
The finalists will be judged by celebrity chef Phil Vickery along with a panel of esteemed judges from the industry Phil Vickery will present the winners’ prizes after the cook off.
Recipe Competition, Coeliac UK, 3rd Floor Apollo Centre, Desborough Road, High Wycombe, Bucks, HP11 2QW
Submissions will be judged on:
- Innovation – for example, use of different grains to replace gluten containing cereals
- Taste and texture – for example, can you tell it is gluten-free?
- Balance of flavours across the three course meal
- Seasonality – is the entry a spring/summer/autumn/winter menu.
